An existing weatherboard home with a series of disconnected and impractical previous additions that needed rectifying.
The dysfunctional bathroom that was previously accessed via the dining room was spaciously relocated between existing bedrooms and the new bedroom, a bedroom that takes the place of a once tiny, storage-less kitchen. The new hallway integrates a refurbished laundry and the new open plan kitchen, dining and living areas. The roof space has be utilised for much needed additional storage with a pull down access ladder.
In a unique situation the owners involvement with the build was very inclusive and hands on, which has resulted in an intimate connection between the owners and their evolutionary home radiating in a sense of accomplishment.
